On 6 May 2025, the EMMELO project consortium convened for its official Kick-Off Meeting, marking the formal commencement of project implementation. Hosted by the University of Galway, the meeting brought together all project partners for a day of structured presentations, strategic discussions, and collaborative planning.
The meeting was opened by Project Officer and Policy Officer, who offered valuable insights and guidance on the project's alignment with EU priorities. Following introductory activities to facilitate partner engagement, the University of Galway presented the project’s overarching research objectives, guiding questions, and methodological approach.
A core component of the agenda was the presentation of the six Work Packages (WPs), during which WP leaders outlined key objectives, deliverables, and planned outputs. The meeting also featured dedicated sessions on the MEN4DEM and YOU-DARE projects, offering opportunities to identify synergies and complementarities with EMMELO and to initiate planning for joint activities.
The day concluded with forward-looking discussions and time allocated for informal networking, reinforcing a strong foundation for collaboration and mutual understanding among consortium members.
With a productive and well-structured start, the EMMELO consortium is now moving forward with the implementation of project activities.
